Matchbox Twenty - live recordings via USB!

This is cool. Wish a certain New Jersey musician would follow this new(ish) trend.

Matchbox Twenty released their last album Exile On Mainstream last October on USB bracelet. The image above is from this link showing the bracelet.

I think its a great way to release digital music to fans who want something than some AAC/WMA/mp3 files and a PDF. I still buy CD's, and I rip to digital format anyway. But if there were more cool ways like what these guys are doing, then id be more inclined to buy less CDs and buy the USB format - or whatever it may be. I want a physical product. Something with a logo. Or a t-shirt. Or something.

Matchbox Twenty will be the first international band to sell USB's of their show in Australia.

Tonight's Melbourne concert, the first on the Matchbox Twenty tour, will also be the first show available on USB.

After the show, fans can purchase the complete concert they just attended for $35.

The show can then be transferred from your USB to your iPod and the USB be then used as your normal USB stick.

Fans who want the show but aren't at the gig will be able to buy it from the Matchbox Twenty website.

All concerts on this Australian tour will be available on USB.

Undercover today caught up with Kyle Cook and Brian Yale for an interview. That will be coming next week. So which one said he was gay? All shall be revealed in the Undercover interview, coming soon.
